Good value on vendor membership

I was looking to list my small business and checked out a few directories. Afrobiz offered a vendor membership for a decent price. I signed up during their entrepreneur membership offer and got a little discount, which was nice. It felt like good value for what I paid to get my services listed.

Easy to find local services

I needed a photographer for an event and remembered hearing about Afrobiz. I went on there and just searched for 'photography services' in my area. Found a few good options pretty quick. The site was easy to use, and I ended up booking someone local. It all worked out well, no complaints from me.

Found amazing hair care products!

Oh my goodness, I just had to share! I discovered Afrobiz recently and found these incredible hair care products through their marketplace. The shipping was super fast to Toronto, took only 3 days. My hair feels absolutely amazing! I'm already planning my next order and told all my sisters about it. You HAVE to check them out!

Consistent service, helpful directory

I've used Afrobiz a few times now, mainly for finding various services. This time around, I was looking for legal services. Just like before, the directory was reliable and easy to navigate. I always appreciate how consistent their platform is. It's why I keep coming back whenever I need to find a Black-owned business. Found a good lawyer this time too.

What's the deal with returns if something doesn't work out from a marketplace purchase? Is there a standard policy?

R Rachel Moore 2 weeks ago
It depends on the individual seller. Each business sets their own return policy, so you gotta check the product page or the vendor's profile before buying. Some are super chill, others are stricter.

Yeah, no central return policy. I always double-check the specific vendor's rules. Learned that the hard way once!

Are there any apps for Afrobiz? Trying to find local businesses on the go is kinda annoying just using the browser.

L Linda Phillips 4 weeks ago
Not that I know of. I usually just pull up the website on my phone. It's mobile-friendly enough.

Nope, no app. Wish there was though, would make finding stuff a bit easier for sure.

Anyone know if Afrobiz is legit compared to like, Black Owned Canada or ByBlacks? Just trying to find the best place to list my services.

A Ashley Thompson 1 month ago
It's definitely legit. Been around for a while. I'd say it has a good directory and marketplace features, especially for finding Canadian businesses. Haven't tried ByBlacks though.

Afrobiz is solid. I've used it to find services myself and also know people who list their businesses there. Good community vibes too.

Is Afrobiz just for businesses in Toronto, or can I find stuff from other cities too?

H Hannah Scott 3 weeks ago
Nah, it's for all over Canada. You can search by city or province, it's pretty good. Found a cool boutique in Montreal through it.

They've got a lot of listings for major cities but I've even seen some from smaller towns. Just use the search filters.

Hey, thinking about signing up for the vendor membership. Are there usually any deals or coupons for new businesses listing their stuff?

D Danielle Moore 1 month ago
Yeah, I got a discount code for my first month when I signed up last fall. They seem to have those kinds of promos pretty often, especially around certain times of the year.

I didn't get one directly when I joined, but I think if you sign up for their newsletter, they sometimes send out offers for listing fees. Worth a shot!
